After a few relaxing days on land, the crew and myself are ready to get back out to sea. The reports that have come in this week are excellent and we hope it continues on for us. If you are coming out with us anytime this month, please bring your California fishing license with you if you have one. Occasionally we fish back and forth across the border and having both Mexican and US licenses are required. If you don't have a license that is alright, we can get one for you. Well, wish us luck and I hope to have good reports after this weekend. Captain Dina

Wow it has been a long time since a report. But that doesn't mean that we haven't caught anything, I have just been busy on the boat and not on the internet. Our fishing season to date has had it's ups and downs. Not just for Ocean Odyssey but for the whole fleet. Some days start out with a bang and some we are pulling it off in the 9th inning. That being said, we have had some great weather the whole season! I can't remember a year when we have had such great weather. Probably jinxing myself. Hopefully it will continue into September. We have day and a half trips departing every Saturday night and returning Monday morning this month, and all signs are pointing toward the bite continuing into October. The water last trip out was a balmy 73-74 degrees and climbing, perfect for the yellowfin tuna and dorado, maybe throw in the random exotic. These trips are light right now, so if you want a lot of room at the rail, this is your best bet! Call Sandy in the office to book your spot at (858) 277-7823 and hope to see you on board! We arrived at H & M Landing at 0600 on Father's Day with stories to tell. We fished one full day at the north end of San Clemente Island. Many of the kayak fisherman said that they caught the largest Calico Bass of their career. With the smallest fish being 3 lbs and the larger ones pushing 9, I would say that was some quality fishing. They could have taken their limit but were very conservative on what was brought to the boat and at days end Ocean Odyssey had only 30 fish in the freezer. I have posted some pictures of the kayaks in the rack and the launching/retrieval process, but like I said very few fish were brought to the boat so I don't have any fishy pics. Check them out at our photo gallery. If you are interested in joining us on our next adventure call Sandy in the office (858)277-7823. Captain's Dina & Rick

We have been feverously working on Ocean Odyssey getting her ready for our first kayak fishing trip of the season. We depart tonight for San Clemente Island and will be back Sunday morning, hopefully with great stories to tell. Captain Rick and myself are very excited about this new endeavor and hope to make kayak fishing a regularly scheduled occurance on Ocean Odyssey. So check back next week and see how we did. See ya, Dina
