Most likely will have only anchovie for bait. 20/25lb thru heavy gear for night time jigging Flourocarbon for fly lining and smaller size hooks for the light line. Smaller size jigs have been working better for night jigging 300-500 gram. Boarding will begin at 5pm. We look forward to seeing you all on the boat.

This time it's our annual safety inspection to make sure all of our lifesaving equipment has been serviced this year and that we know how to use it. We passed with zero deficiencies! Now it's time to put some shine on the big girl for the next few weeks and then GO FISHING!!

Rick from the Ocean Odyssey checked in out of San Diego. Next Monday morning, June 2 at 0845, we need 41 volunteers to help us with our Coast Guard mandated egress drill onboard Ocean Odyssey so we can get this season started and get out fishing! It will take no more than 1 hour of your time.

We will have raffle prizes 💲, and one lucky volunteer will receive a free 1.5 day. Come help us out! Also, please let us know you will be there so we can add your name to the list, if we dont get enough volunteers we will have to reschedule.

We will be in space 180 in the Los Alamitos Hall. For tickets and information to the show follow this link. The show runs March 6-9 check the show schedule for hours and admission prices.

Dana from the Ocean Odyssey checked in out of San Diego. Early this week I watched as Ocean Odyssey departed for Ventura harbor to haul out.  While there she will be getting some TLC and a bi-annual Coast Guard inspection. After a few delays to the schedule that set us back a few days it was her turn in the chute. Watching your blood, sweat, and many tears, hanging by straps to be driven over concrete is beyond stressful.  So many things can happen in those first few minutes as the boat is being lifted, and every single time it goes on straps l have to take deep breaths so I don't vomit or pass out. Pictured Rick is getting some moral support from the crew. That said, the haul out went perfectly and my girl is high and dry getting her spa treatment.   We will keep you updated on the work we are doing as it comes along!
