Rick checked in for the Ocean Odyssey out of San Diego. Bent rods, blue skies...and look what decided to join the party!  Mr. Yellowfin Tuna has finally migrated to 1-2 day range.  We have caught only one this season prior to today.  We hope to see a lot more come over the rail today and tomorrow and the weeks to come.  This is a mixed grade of fish, from this size (15-20 pounds) to up to 80#.

We got in yesterday from our Izorline sponsored 1.5-day trip.   Not much to report, the weather was up and the fishing was down.  We will be in for a few days waiting for this weather to calm down, the ocean for this weekends 2.5-day trip looks perfect, hope the catching is too!  Here are a few of our catch from the last trip.  Big Chris made a guest appearance for a trip, back on the OO where he belongs 😆

Plunking away out here.  Tackle failure resulted in heavy casualties this morning, but once we got it straightened out the hook to land ratio went up.  These are bigger model  tuna fish and are now biting the 40#.   We have a lot of open spots on trips starting in mid October.   Check the schedule and get on one.
